Miraculous Acclaims

The Roman Catholic Church claimed that a supernatural event occurred in 1917 in which the “Blessed Virgin Mary” appeared to the three children in Fatima, Portugal- Lucia, Jacinta, and Francisco. An “apparition” means the unexpected or unusual appearance of a ghostly figure.

Now, what was the message all about? According to a website(
www.jesus-is-savior.com): At Fatima Our Lady said that God wished to establish in the world devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Our Lady said that many souls would be saved from Hell and the annihilation of nations averted if, in time, devotion to her Immaculate heart is established.

How was the devotion established? First is the consecration of Russia to the Immaculate hart of Mary by the Pope together with the world’s bishops in a solemn public ceremony and the practice of receiving Holy Communion in reparation for the sins committed against the Blessed Virgin Mary, on the first Saturdays of five consecutive months- a practice known to the Catholics as “The First Saturday” devotion.

“Immaculate” means conceived without sin. This contradicts with Romans 3:23 which states that :”Everyone have sinned and is faraway from God’s saving presence”. A series of apparitions happened in all over the world. To mention some in Guadalupe, Mexico, and in Lourdes, France. Did you know that every time she appeared, her face goes with the nationality of the place she is appearing to? Because of the series of apparitions, the Pope made certain Dogmas (Pope’s speech that are considered to be infallible) considering: Mary as the mother of God, Mary as Immaculate, Mary’s assumption to heaven, and the coronation of Mary in heaven as Queen of heaven and earth.

According to a website(www. Fatima.org), the events of Fatima were conformed by an public miracle, the Miracle of the Sun. More than seventy thousand people saw the sun “dancing”. The sun twirl in the sky, through off colors and descend to earth. The event was reported in newspapers around the world, including the New York Times. The “supernatural” event was even seen in the Philippines particularly in Carcar, Cebu. Miraculous signs and wonders took place around the globe, an example of such is the bleeding of Mary statues and images.

Did Mary had the power to do such miracles? (Read the article entitled: How Well Do You Know Blessed Mary”, parts one and two)
