Nothing can be more sincere than the eyes. The eyes speak of what the
heart beats for and what the heart would like to express in words. The
eyes are the windows of our soul, as some people say.
Collin in the poem “The Look” has express all the feelings he feels for
the girl through the eyes and that was what made him stand out among
the three of them.
For me, the two other guys was not too sincere in their feelings for
the author. They didn't last.
If a man desires for a woman, then it is not love. That could be lust.
Love does not want to own.People are often slaved by their bodily
passion and tempting facade, by what their eyes perceived. According to
Ecclesiates, Charm is deceptive and beaauty disappearing...
You see, sometimes people are deceived by their hidden desires and
often mistaken them as love. Love is eternal, it knows no end. If what
you feel is love, it would be for a life time.
Collin was really sincere in His feelings for the author. He had
self-control. His love for the author was not selfish. He took control
of his body desires. He was able to conquer himself.
Love according to 1 Corinthian 13:4-7:Love is patient, love is kind.
It does not envy, it does not boast, it
is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily
angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil
but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always
hopes, always perseveres.
You see,Collin love the author so he was patient since He only looked
at the author. He looked with the eyes of love. He was not
self-seeking. He didn't seek for his satisfaction.
Based on my interpretation, Collin and the author are friends. The
author understood the language of the love of Collin because love is a
feeling that only can feeling can understand.

Measuring love through the number of kisses and hugs is a very wrong
way of measurement. Although, it can't be measured, I can say that a
kiss may not mean love. Jesus was betrayed with a kiss!

The KYSD Experience
Know Your School Day or KYSD is a school endeavor which gives the students the chance to experience how it is to teach or to hold an office.
Students got the chance to be a usual subject teacher, the guidance councilor, the principal, the Professional Education Division or PED chair, the clerk and the Scholarship Committee chair.
It would sound fun but it had only one effect most especially for someone like me who did not have anything to do because I did not apply for any position.
The KYSD is nothing else but boring for me. Boring in the sense that I had to be in my seat while everyone else had something else to do.
It was a slothful day because it was another normal day for me. School was the same school that I attended for the last four years and the lessons taught was the lesson which I needed to imbibe that day. It could have been fun if there were some things to spice up that rather boring day.
It was KYSD or Know Your School Day and it should have been something special. There should have been tributes for teachers in a comical way that could have been something entertaining and something memorable for everyone.
There should have been forums where the students could suggest different things which could contribute to the betterment of the administration and as well as the school. That would be exciting because people get to be frank and open. Frank in the sense that they would tell how they see things and share their thoughts about the school. Open to accept things which might be sometimes hurtful but surely in a constructive kind of way.
Giving that special kind of treatment to an endeavor like the Know Your School Day or KYSD, could have made the experience fun for everyone and not just fun for those who had applied for a position.
Any school endeavor should involve everyone in it. The school co- curricular and extra- curricular activities is one way of having that chance to bond for all the members of the school. The Know Your School Day or KYSD activity was not successful because of it has not served much its purpose.
Yes it could have instilled in us the importance of the people who are around the school. From the highest position to the regular staff. The principal, PED or Professional Education Division chair, the Scholarship Committee chair, the teachers, the clerk, the attendants and assistants should all be given importance because without them, there is no UP.
There is nothing wrong with highlighting that point but there should have been a fun factor so that things are enjoyable for everyone. If that factor is present, there is also a possibility that the students will all be involved and they would find ways so that they would be a part of everything that is about the activity.
In that way, the activity could serve two purposes, highlighting its point and involving everyone.

Love: An Act of Will, not of heart
What can you find in the heart?
The heart is just a pumping organ that supplies blood to the body.
You can't find anything there but blood, cells and blood vessels.
According to scientists, our emotions are developed not in the heart
but in a system in the body called the Lymbic system.
What is your definition of love?
Love can't be defined, only can be described.
Love according to 1 Corinthian 13:4-7:Love is patient, love is kind. It
does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it
is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of
wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It
always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Now, I'll give you an example of an unconditional love...
God is omnicient and omnipotent. He knows what will happen in the
future. Why did he made you even if he knows that you will only sin and
hurt God, nailing Him again? It is because of love. Even though He
knows that His Son will go through pain and suffering and mind you, His
faced was totally deformed according to Isaiah, He still sent His only
Son for us to be saved.
The King of all kings and the Lord of all Lords died for you.He is above all. Above all powers, above all kings and all created
things. Yet, He took wore the nature of a servant.
It is the will of the Lord that He humbly took the risk of being human.
He felt hunger and pain.
Every stripe upon His battered back,
Every thorn that pierced His brow,
Every nail drove deep through His guiltless hands,
is for you.
All the way to the cross, He keeps on thinking of you and me, even in the midst of danger and
nearly death.
It is because of love that the Father gave and it’s such an amazing
demonstration of love that a King would die for you and for me.
But God demonstrated His own love for us in this: While we were still
sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8, John 3:16).
Is God crazy? Seems foolish right? But God's foolishness is wiser than
human wisdom.He made a fool of Himself in order for us to to have
eternal life.
You see? God acted it out. With all wisdom, he demonstrated His love
for you and me.It is the will of the Lord that Jesus would suffer for
us. Jesus even said : "Thy will be done".
What's more? Did you know when did God love you?
God created your inmost being and knit him together in your mother's womb. Through the years, God watched you grow grow, play,laugh, cry, live and love. Your name He had written on the palm of His hand; Your tears He had kept in His heart. He even know every hair on your head. Whatever you have done with your life cannot change the way God value you, and there's nothing you can do that can make Him love you less.He sees your sins would look on you with love and call you to be His own.

Loneliness
In the poem Loneliness, only letters were found in the poem. I don't
really have much words to say all about that poem. I didn't meditate
well upon the poem since it is near deadline.
Each line of the poem contained only one or two letters.The author was
quite imaginative and symbolic.The poem was simple but complicated. But
whatever is the hidden meaning of this poem, I'll make mine.
Look at the earth. The earth is full of people. The earth is made
definitely made for the people.Look at the birds.Most of them migrate
by flocks. The bees fly by swarm. If you are afraid of a single bee,
how much more for a swarm of bees?
Cleaning could be the most difficult job for some. But anyway, Imagine
a broomstick with only one stick. Can you achieve your purpose of
cleaning?
Maybe, in our lives,in our daily walk on the road full of roses and
sometimes thorns, we sometimes have a companion, sometimes not. The
letters in the poem symbolizes human nature. Sometimes we are with
others, sometimes alone in this journey called life. People needs
people.Life is like a wheel. Sometimes we're up and sometimes down.
In the book of Genesis, we can read that no creature has been a
suitable partner to man.The whole paradise was made just for one man.
All the glamourous flowers and magnificient trees,and all the amazing
species of animals. But why is still he not joyous in his living? He
definitely needs a partner.So God made woman.The man was glad and his
life became more meaningful.
The story of creation coincides with the
saying: no man is an island. This famous and probably one of the most
overused saying is very true in our lives.
What is your favorite thing? What is your favorite food? Imagine
yourself in a grandiose room where all your favorite things are.
Picture out the room, a very enormous one. Imagine yourself holding the
most recent unit of Samsung cellular.
Quite cool. Right?
But,will you
be happy if you will be locked up in that immense room forever? Of
course not!
No matter how expensive your cellphone is, If no one would text you, It
would be better if you set aside that stuff. Why? it is because
communication is the main purpose of cellphones.
You see, everybody needs company. People needs a relationship. Why
relationship? Because even if you are surrounded by a thousand men but
they will just pass near you, as if they didn't see anyone, You will be
an island.Human nature tells us that people is in need of attention,
care and love.We live for each other. We help one another. We love one
another.We are not to be bound up by material things and wealth rather
by treasures that are found in the heart.

How want to be remembered after leaving High school
Have you heard of a Johari window?It is not a made of glass actually...The Johari window is a square divided into four
different parts. The four parts are: free, blind,
dark and hidden. All of the four parts are composed
of characteristics,and traits of a specific person
The free part is composed of the traits and
characteristics the person has which is known by
himself and by others. The blind part is composed of
characteristics and traits in the eyes of others
only. The hidden part is composed of traits and
characteristics the person has but others do not.
The last part which is the dark part is the side
which contains secrets about yourself but both the
person and others don't know. In my Johari window,
the biggest part is the hidden part. I am a
secretive person. Even my closest friends don't know
my darkest secrets. I'm also not fond of spilling
the beans.I know a lot of secrets about other
people. Hmm... A little bit unfair to others since I
know their secrets by they don't know mine.
Now, why I am a lecturing a Johari window? Because
the Johari window is very helpful in making this
article and for word maximum purposes...(laughs).
When I interviewed a couple of people about what can
they remember when they see me, I was shocked by
what I've learned. The people remembered me as a
bread eater! It is because, we have a bakeshop at
home and schoolmates who went to our house never go
home without tasting our bread and pastries! It is
already a tradition in the family that if a visitor
visits the house, they will be given enough supply
of food in their stomaches!
During the third year, I sell Siopao in the canteen.
The batch really love our Siopao. Now, that was
before when our baker was not yet been changed.
Okay, okay. I admit. I am fond of eating bread,
cakes and pastries. My faavorite is the custard
cake. It is a like chiffon cake topped with leche
flan. Whew! delicious...
Okay, let's get out of the Bakeshop. In my
testimonials, the people decribe as: artistic,
creative,simple, unpretentious, understanding, music
lover,mysterious, and happy go lucky.
That's definitely true. I just love being simple and
natural. I fiercely protest against masks. I don't
wear them. Having a lot of hidden things does not
necessarily make you masked. I like pressures since
I work best under them but I like to be relaxed and
calm under pressure. Relax here means doing the job
in a calm manner.
Mysterious? Yeah right, I am.It's just, I took
control of my words. Man has tamed all the wild
animals but no one has ever tamed the tongue. It is
better to conquer yourself than to conquer whole
cities.

just want to be remembered as a simple gal who loves
music. I am really mysterious.

Do you feel being unloved? Are you feeling rejected, unworthy, worthless, unwanted, useless or unimportant?
What is your definition of love?
There are a lot of people today who are despised and abused. A lot of people today don’t know their value.
Maybe you feel like you’re not needed, unimportant, cheap and useless. Sad to say you don’t know your value!
What’s the sweetest thing a person had done for you? Whatever it is let me tell you a story. During the reign of Adolf Hitler, concentration camps were being made and the captured Jews in Germany were abused. A German doctor even made soaps and buttons from humans (the Jews of course)! This dark age was called the “Holocaust”. During this dark time, a lot of Jews were being killed. The old people were together being killed since they are considered as useless. In the heart of the city was a very magnificient and eye-catching mansion. In the mansion live an elite man and his only very dear seven year old son. He love his son so much that he granted every desire of the child’s heart.
The rich man together with his son was walking at the sidewalk, enjoying the warmth of the sun. The rich man was a Jew, but he was able to hide his real identity because of his great wealth. In the midst of silence, a breaking incident broke the monotony of the tranquility. A poor fellow Jew was caught stealing a loaf of bread by a lenient German officer. Knowing that the poor guy was a Jew plus he was caught stealing, the German officer fiercely grab the poor guy and was treated harshly. Knowing the common attribute of a German officer, he poor guy knew that he is getting near to his end. The poor guy collapsed not just of physical hunger and pain but because of the greatest fear in his life has come to reality- To die by being made into soaps and buttons.
The rich man freeze for a moment and both fear and mercy was struggling in his heart. The innocent son hid in his daddy’s back crying. Even with his unconsciousness, his feet lead him to the scenario and plead the German officer to let go of the poor guy. The German officer declined but he rich man fall on his knees pleading for mercy. The German officer agreed, but in one tragic condition. In exchange for the poor guy’s life is the life of his very own child.
If you were the rich man, would you give the life of your very own son for the life of the poor guy? Difficult, isn’t it? But if you love your son very much, you will never give your son since you value the life of your son more than your own life.

All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching the truth, rebuking error, correcting faults, and giving instruction for right living (Timothy 3:16). “All Scripture“includes everything, both the new and old testament.

Isn’t that a shallow discrepancy? It is then encourage to read the whole Bible before asking critical questions that are in fact only because lack of reading or comprehension. Now, don’t be exhausted, rather be encouraged to read the Bible and search for the truth.

Amazing, isn’t it?
So, did the creation of things took place in just six days? According to the Bible, a thousand years for God is a day and a day a thousand of days. But science and the Bible agreed that the humans were the last one being created. “My thoughts are far above from yours” says the Lord.
Science is based only on human knowledge and is limited. Science can’t explain all things around you since Human knowledge is only limited. There was even a scientific article that suggests that only five percent of the things are known. Just like the ever expanding universe, science gains knowledge on discoveries one after another. Science can’t actually tell where are the ends of the universe.

Can Jesus’ Flesh and Blood be eaten?
“ I am the living bread which came down from heaven: If any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.” –John 6:51
Does it mean that we are going to eat the body of Christ? No! Jesus was speaking about salvation. In John 10:9, Jesus claimed to be the “door”. How do we go through his door? If John 6:51 is to be taken as literal instead of spiritual in meaning, then John 10:9 would make no sense at all.
Now in John 3, Jesus tried to explain to Nicodemus that he needed to be “born again”. Nicodemus took Jesus literally and was confused. Nicodemus baffled, asking how can he go back into his mother’s womb and be born again. Jesus was trying to teach Nicodemus a spiritual truth, but Nicodemus didn’t understand Him since Nicodemus was not thinking on a spiritual plane but earthly. Nicodemus failed to understand the Word of God because he was walking on a physical ladder.
Jesus claimed to be the vine, the light, etc. Matthew 10:38 tells us that He who does not carry his cross and follow Jesus is not worthy of Jesus. Does it mean that we have to let the carpenters construct a literal cross and carry it? Of course no!
With these lines, I am quite concerned over some people’s teaching of transubstantiation. Transubstantiation means that the food taken at mass literally becomes the flesh and blood of Jesus. Some miraculous signs even happened. A host in room became a real flesh and it bleed. The flesh was being examined and the blood was type AB.
Jesus is the bread of life. In John 1:1 it states that :” In the beginning the Word already existed…and the Word was God”. In John 1:14, it states that the Word became flesh and dwelt amongst us. The “Word” pertains particularly to Jesus.
In John 6:68, Simon Peter said to Jesus:” You have the words that give eternal life”.
During the Lord’s supper, the Bible commands us to observe it only as a remembrance of Jesus shedding His blood suffering for our sins. The Lord’s supper is not a sacrament. Now where in the Bible can we refer the Lord’s supper as “Eucharist”.
Meditate upon these verses:
“See to it that no one takes you captive through hallow deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ”(Colossians 2:28).
The truth is Jesus- the only one who has the power to save. His Word is truth- it is found in the Bible: “ Indeed, there is no other gospel”(Galatians 1:7-10).

Who is the closest woman in your life? Is it your sister? Is it your girlfriend? Most will answer “mother”. All people came from their mother’s womb. The umbilical cord of an unborn child is connected to the mother. This is probably the reason why most kids are closer to their mother.
Do you consider Mary your mother? Mary was a very humble and obedient woman.
Do you pray the rosary? The rosary as they say is like offering a garland of roses to Mary. In my religion subject in elementary, We are taught to pray the rosary and ask for intercession for Mary. Since Mary was closer to Jesus, being her mother, she is closer to her son. In our country today, a lot of Marian devotees offer flowers, candles and prayers on front of Mary images and statues, some even kiss the statue or make the sign of the cross after touching it.
Mary is considered as: The mother of God, the Refuge of sinners, the Hope of the world, Immaculate, the Help of Christians, Queen of heaven, Lady of All Nations, Sovereign Mistress, Comforter of the Afflicted, Empress of Angels, Eternal Virgin, and ,many others.
God sent the angel Gabriel to a town in Galilee named Nazareth. He had a message for a young woman promised in marriage to a man named Joseph, who was a descendent of David. Her name was Mary. The angel came to her and told her that she will become pregnant and give birth to a son through the power of the Holy Spirit. “I am the Lord’s servant”, said Mary, “may it happen to me as you have said” (Luke 1:26,38).
The birth of Jesus was first announced to Mary and she was so happy and a little be afraid. She humbly call herself as the Lord’s servant.
When Jesus was twelve years old, Jesus together with Joseph and Mary went to the festival as usual. But Jesus was left in Jerusalem. Joseph and Mary started looking for him on their relatives and friends. They didn’t find him so they went back to Jerusalem to look for him. On the third day, they found him in the temple, sitting with the Jewish teachers. His parents were astonished when they saw him. Jesus told them: “ Why did you have to look for me? Did you know that I have to be in my Father’s house?” But they did not understand him (Luke 2:41-49).
As we can see, the Mary in the Bible was very humble, very human, commits mistakes, just like us. Mary and Joseph didn’t understand Jesus’ words since they didn’t understand the real nature of Jesus.

THE EFFECTIVENESS OF WATER FROM TENDER AND MATURE COCONUTON THE GROWTH OF EGGPLANTS (Solanum melongena)The Philippines is one of the many coconut-producing countries in the world. The coconut has many uses, its meat has also been a staple food and the other parts are used for household materials here in our country. A part of the coconut which is oftentimes wasted is the coconut water. This study aimed to find out the effectiveness of water from tender and mature coconut on the growth of eggplants, (Solanum melongena).The pretest-posttest control group design was used in the study. The independent variable is the water from tender and mature coconut and the dependent variable is the height of the eggplants. The eggplant were randomly assigned to four different set-ups with three eggplants each and watered with different types of coconut water. There were three experimental groups, A, B and C, exposed to water from tender and mature coconut and the mixture of both. The heights of the eggplants were measured every five days.The findings showed the mean gains in height of the eggplants after the treatment. The study found out that there is no significant difference between the mean heights of the eggplants after seven weeks of experimentation. Based on the results, it can be concluded that the coconut water has comparable effects with ordinary water on the growth of eggplants. The researchers recommended that a replicate of the research be made but it will be on the growth of plants other than eggplant. An experimental study on the effectiveness of alternate fertilizers (coming from other household waste) on the growth of plants, a replicate of the research but with a longer experimentation period such as six months or more and an experimental study on the effectiveness of water from tender and mature coconut on the weights and sizes of the eggplant fruits.

During the last semester, I took up Public Speaking as my elective subject. It is such a fun subject. We have many activities. To Enumerate some were: News casting, Advertisement show, impromtu speech, videoke singing and speaking on formal occasions. During the news casting, I was to deliver property my speech. During the the videoke singing, I was absent so I sung the next week in class. I sung acapela with quitar as my accompaniment. My song was entitled: “All things are possible” by Hillsong. In the advertisement activity, I advertised Sunsilk shampoo in front of the class since I have long black hair. Making a speech is not as easy as it is. I was assigned to make a speech for launching of Red Cross: be a blood donor campaign. Of course, it is only an assumption. This was the speech I made:
Ladies and Gentlemen Good morning. Today is June 14, a special day. Do you know why? It is because together with the launching of Red Cross “be a blood donor campaign, is the world blood donor day.
Our lifesavers. This day is dedicated ti voluntary. Non-remunerated blood donors. Life is in the blood. The blood in the river of life since without this precious liquids, we would be white as snow and we would of course die.
The World Blood Donors day has the support of all mayor stakeholders in blood transfusion medicine and blood transfusion services, including World Health Organization, International Society of Blood Transfusion, International Federation of Blood Donors Organization and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, in which the Philippine Red Cross is a part of it.
The goal of these organizations is to supply all patients in need of blood or blood products, wherever they are, will have an adequate and safe supply of this gift of life.
Everyday, million of people require blood transfusions, Most transfusions save up to 5% of HIV statistics in the developing world, for example is due to the transfusion of contaminated blood.
More than 75 million units of blood are collected annually worldwide. But still, in the Philippines, specifically government hospitals have inadequate supply of blood. Sad to say, many people die due to the loss of blood. Most of them have A+ and AB+. It is more efficient and convenient to have enough supply of blood in the hospital since it is needed when a person needs blood right away.
I am you encouraging you to donate blood to help our brothers specially the poor ones who cannot afford to go to private hospitals. If you donate to the Philippine Red Cross, your blood will directly go to your fellow Filipinos. Also, donating blood is healthy for the body. Because your blood will be replaced by your body, you will have a fresher blood every time you donate!
It is such a great gift if you donate blood since you give a part of yourself to someone. This is a symbol of unity and brotherhood for us Filipinos since your blood goes to another person and that blood becomes a part of himself. It is then encouraged to give some of your “liquid of life” to save a person’s life, which maybe in the future, yourself
Its is such an opportunity to take up public speaking.

Me, Myself and I
October 5,1990 was a joyous day for the couple Mr. and Mrs. Orais because it was the birth of their first baby. They name the little child "Christine", which means "A little follower of Christ".
I am Christine Narte Orais. I live in San Jorge Village Guadalupe Cebu City. I am 16 years of age. My parents are Jose G. Orais and Leonila N. Orais. My father is a teacher and my mother is a housewife. I have only one brother whose name is Jose Virgil N. Orais. His nickname is "Jayve". I finished my nursery years in Cebu Bradford School. Then I graduated from elementary in the University of San Carlos South Grade School at J. Alcantara Street P. del Rosario Extension Cebu City. Presently, I am studying in the University of the Philippines High school. My favorite colors are black and white. My favorite food is mango float. I spent most of my time in the church fellowshipping and worshipping. I love to read my favorite book-The Bible. I love music. I love to sing Christian songs. My favorite band is Hillsong. Few of my favorite songs are All For Love, For This Cause, Dwell In Your House Forever, Who Am I , and All Things Are Possible.
I am a Christian. I believe in one God. I accepted Jesus Christ as my one and only Savior. What does the word "Christian" mean? Being a Christian means accepting Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior. If you are a Christian, it means that you believe and follow Jesus Christ. The believers of Christ were first called Christians at Antioch(Book of Acts). The church, which is a group of believers were called Christians. A Church does not necessarily mean a buliding or a physical structure. The real meaning of a church is a group of believers. I belong to the Church of Christ. I am born again. It doesn't mean that Born Again is my religion. What I am trying to say is that being born again is not a Religion but it is the state of my soul. Being born again means being renewed and cleansed by Jesus Christ. In the book of John, the Word was with God and the Word was God and The Word was made flesh and dwelt amongst us. How did Jesus cleansed me? Does it mean He came over to drop by? No no no no, definitely not. Jesus through the power of the Word of God that renewed me. Being born again means the renewing of your mind and attitude towards sin. Man commits sin by nature but having sinned is different from loving sin. I mean we all sin. It is wriiten in the book of Romans that all have sinned and fallshort at the Glory of God(Romans3:23). But we have to hate sin! We must try not to sin. Because sin results to another sin and then at the end it will conceive death! We must repent so we will be forgiven. Repentance (metanoia in Greek) means the change of attitude and mind towards sin. Asking forgiveness can be just hypocritical. Our repentance must not just be in words but it should reflect in our actions. We mus not continue to love sin. If we know it is a sin, then we should not do it!
